Review: Outre Batik Wig

After 4 weeks of wear, I’m ready to share my review on the Outre Batik Synthetic Peruvian Lace Front Wig. Let’s start with the lace L-Parting this baby has. For newbie wig wearers, that means that the hair is naturally parted in a “L” shape mimicking a scalp. Nice, right? I chose the color S1B/30. It’s a general 1B/30, dark brown with blonde highlights. I always like to wear “safe” colors at work, so I can look professional but add a little flair to it as well. I encourage everyone to shake up their look sometimes. Jazzify your life, honey!

This style offers several other colors which you may find here. The length is incredibly long. At 22 inches, it cascades to the middle of my back and is tapered in the front. Mind you, I’m 6’3” tall. The wig also exudes “tropical vibes” and is very cute to wear during the warmer climate. For those interested in versatility, the hair can handle heat up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Personally, I don’t recommend it but it’s cool knowing that it can stand high temperatures in case you desire to go that route.

As far as maintenance goes, I like how it is needs little to no attention. I literally slap this own and go about my day, no moisture, brushing or anything. If you take absolute care of it and don’t wear it in the shower or sweat it out by going to the gym everyday, you can get at least 2 months out of this. Unfortunately, that was not what I did. I wore it in the shower, exercising, didn’t wrap it up…yet it still looks good. However, because of that it does tangle a little…VERY LITTLE. It didn’t when it was in good condition though. To fix that, all I have to do is brush the hair with a wig brush then tie it down. Boom! It’s cute again (but note, you will have to do this daily or every other day to avoid tangles now). All in all, I definitely recommend this hair because it is beautiful, no fuss and will last a long while. It’s definitely worth the price I paid ($27). My rating for this wig from 1-10, 1 being the lowest (poor) and 10 being the highest (best), I’ll give this wig a 7.5. You won’t be sorry. And I would definitely purchase this wig hairstyle again. *See below for styles through the month*
