Have you seen Walt Disney's Hercules? You haven't?!? Hunny...
This look is inspired by Calliope. To my recollection, she's one of the first Black animated females to appear in a Disney film. She's the goddess of epic poetry and leader to the Muses. If you haven't seen the movie or heard any of the songs then I highly recommend you Youtube the soundtrack and listen to it. My favorite is 'Zero to Hero'. Ariana Grande sung it live and unsurprisingly I loved it. She belted that tune beautifully.

Greek mythology has long been an interest of mine since I was a kid watching Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Stories of mystical creatures, dramatic love and exciting voyages make up a lot of the components of an excellent Greek tale. Even today, we are still influenced by it's teachings: fashion labels Nike, Hermes and Versace have are influenced by Gods and Monsters. Did you know the origins of the 12 zodiac signs are Greek?
